This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Manage, support, and enhance relationships with Investor-Owned Utility clients in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
• Formulate key account strategies and drive market share expansion with selected accounts.
• Conduct account evaluations and relay opportunities, risks, customer initiatives, concerns, and recommendations to Terex leadership.
• Provide pricing strategies for competitive market positioning and enhanced profitability.
• Offer insights regarding customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities.
• Adhere to company safety, CRM, pricing, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with Regional Product Support Managers and Service Branch teams to ensure customer success and resolve issues.
• Work alongside Marketing on customer-centric initiatives and growth strategies.
• Oversee market pricing initiatives and annual purchase agreements.
• Maintain customer opportunities, quotes, and forecasts within the CRM system.
• Represent Terex professionally while promoting safety, integrity, responsiveness, and customer service.
• Highest level of integrity required.
• High school diploma or GED is necessary.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report is essential since driving is a job requirement.
• Must currently reside in or be open to relocating to the territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Familiarity with the company, industry, products, and customer relationship development.
• Proven capability to manage complex accounts with lengthy sales cycles and multiple decision-makers.
• Preferred: Over 5 years of experience in key account management, utility/equipment sales, fleet sales, or a related capital equipment sector.
• Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
• Understanding of new business development, product marketing, and sales principles and practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance is preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in public speaking.
• Experience in selling both new and used Terex equipment and parts.
• Capability to establish credibility and foster strong partnerships.
• Comprehensive understanding of the utility industry and market growth strategies.
• Insight into customer buying behaviors, business models, and the Terex value proposition.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members.
• Excellent computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable operating utility, construction, or industrial equipment.
• Flexibility for occasional overnight travel is required.
