This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the strategic growth objectives of IDEX Material Science Solutions through 2030, focusing on key semiconductor metrology and inspection accounts.
• Recognize customer challenges, align MSS and client business strategies, and create new business opportunities.
• Enhance share-of-wallet growth by strategically upselling technologies, materials, and services.
• Complete MEDDPICC and 80/20 processes for both incoming requests and outgoing quotes.
• Oversee projects from conception to production, ensuring customer timelines align with production schedules.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring essential requirements are integrated into solutions.
• Develop and maintain rolling 12-month demand forecasts for raw material procurement and factory capacity planning.
• Identify gaps in forecasts and purchase orders, addressing under-utilization or capacity risks.
• Conduct in-person meetings with customer stakeholders for business reviews, opportunity discussions, quality assessments, and scorecard feedback.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues related to factory performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Solutions Engineering teams on capacity, constraints, quality, and delivery timelines.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technically-focused Sales role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High technical fluency in one or more areas such as semiconductor metrology inspection tools, optics, laser machine processing, high voltage feedthroughs, or precision machining.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with custom CRM and ERP systems.
• Ability to consistently represent the business positively in all situations.
• Demonstrated capability to identify and close new business opportunities in a technical or industrial environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of the production lifecycle, lead times, supply chain limitations, and the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Skill in synthesizing complex data into precise forecasts using ERP software and advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to communicate “no” or “not yet” to customers while maintaining relationships and protecting operational integrity.
• May need to qualify as a U.S. Person for roles involving ITAR or EAR-controlled goods and technologies.
