This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Create local account strategies that align with the national brand objectives and drive sales growth.
• Oversee activities and performance for the Lombardia Ovest region.
• Utilize advanced selling techniques with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and various healthcare professionals.
• Identify customer needs associated with the Oncotype DX assay and guide customers through the adoption process.
• Cultivate relationships with non-clinical customers to illustrate the value of Oncotype DX to the National Health System.
• Operate independently with full responsibility for the region, prioritizing activities for optimal returns.
• Distinguish Oncotype DX from competitors and implement effective account management strategies.
• Pursue established commercial objectives in collaboration with the Sales Manager Italy.
• Engage with stakeholders within Italy’s oncology community, particularly those involved with breast cancer.
• Provide logistical assistance to key personnel at Designated Cancer Centers for effective Oncotype DX ordering.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge in genomic testing, company offerings, disease states, and competitor advantages.
• Encourage target physicians and influencers to take actions that enhance patient access and product usage.
• Participate in sales meetings and professional conferences.
• Collaborate closely with sales management and marketing to convey product sales and marketing communications.
• Offer feedback to national, regional, and area teams.
• Work with the European Commercial team to secure product access.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with premium products, demonstrating a strong track record in promoting complex items within medical oncology and/or diagnostics, preferably in breast cancer, in the region.
• Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers within the National Health System, including reimbursement aspects.
• Strong understanding of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the region, specifically Oncologists, Pathologists, Procurement, and Key Decision Makers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing large territories and key accounts.
• In-depth knowledge of, or the ability to swiftly grasp, clinical research and diagnostics related to cancer.
• Excellent comprehension of cancer care within the Italian public healthcare system.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels of the National Health System.
• Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
• Self-motivated individual with experience in smaller organizations or divisions of larger healthcare companies; autonomous and entrepreneurial in approach.
• Willingness to travel to national meetings 3–4 times a year, with potential attendance at international congresses, including overnight stays and evening/weekend commitments.
• Valid Italian Driver’s license.
• Successful completion of all required training programs.
• A degree in life sciences/genomics/clinical experience is advantageous.
• Proficient business-level English is preferred.
• Experience in market access, marketing, leadership, training, or other non-sales roles would be beneficial.
