Junior Social Media Manager – Fixed Term Employment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and distribute content across Ecosia's social media platforms.

• Write engaging captions and modify creative assets.

• Generate original ideas for social content.

• Develop and oversee the social media calendar.

• Ensure channels remain active, consistent, and responsive to current events.

• Collaborate with social and creative teams to transform ideas and raw assets into impactful content.

• Foster community relations by engaging with users across social channels and the email help line.

• Raise product concerns and relay user feedback to the team.

• Utilize social trends, audience insights, and performance metrics to enhance content and social strategy.

• Familiarize yourself with Ecosia's brand, audiences, and channels before taking on more extensive content-production responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 2 years of experience in social media management.

• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, formats, and aesthetics.

• Proven experience in developing content ideas and collaborating with creatives.

• Capability to manage a social media calendar, publishing timetable, and various channels.

• Proficient English copywriting abilities.

• Strong understanding of brand identity, tone, and voice.

• A sense of curiosity, willingness to collaborate, openness to testing ideas, and learning from results.

• Interest in climate and environmental issues, as well as the positive impact brands can have.

• A portfolio link or at least 5 links to posts you've contributed to.

• Must reside in a CE(S)T +/- 2 hours location for remote EOR candidacy.

• Visa/work-permit status information is required during the application process.
