Junior Python Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Python services, REST APIs, and background processes.

• Engage with data pipelines, stream consumers, database layers, and caching systems.

• Create tests and enhance code quality through participation in code reviews.

• Gain hands-on experience with the technology stack under mentorship.

• Participate in the team's on-call rotation as you build your skills, with support available.

• Partner with senior engineers to deliver reliable features.

• Assist in fraud detection, recommendations, personalization, and other related production systems.

• Transform data-science experiments into robust, production-ready systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Python backend development; strong internships or projects are considered.

• Strong foundation in Python with a desire to delve deeper.

• Basic knowledge of SQL.

• Familiarity with REST APIs.

• A curious mindset and a readiness to learn quickly.

• Proficient problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

• Preferred: Experience with FastAPI.

• Preferred: Knowledge of asynchronous programming.

• Preferred: Exposure to Redis or Kafka.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Docker.

• Preferred: Any experience in data engineering or machine learning.

• Preferred: Background in SaaS or high-scale product domains.
