Junior Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with U.S. legal and regulatory activities.

• Propel the multi-state Money Transmitter License (MTL) initiative.

• Perform regulatory research.

• Oversee licensing applications and post-licensing workflows.

• Prepare and organize legal documents for NMLS and state submissions.

• Draft responses for applications.

• Facilitate timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Review and edit commercial contracts.

• Maintain contract tracking systems.

• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and risk standards.

• Assist in drafting and updating policies and procedures for regulated payment operations.

• Keep track of legal updates.

• Provide clear, actionable advice to business teams.

• Report directly to the Head of Legal, US.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of pertinent legal experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or digital assets.

• Proficient legal research, writing, and contract review capabilities.

• Experience with U.S. money transmission licensing, NMLS filings, and regulated payment companies is highly regarded.
