Junior Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Support and direct the multidisciplinary team during production stages, working closely with authors, editors, proofreaders, designers, layout specialists, illustrators, developers, critical reviewers, production/quality analysts, learning management system administrators, and other parties involved.

• Facilitate briefings, onboarding sessions, and training for course coordinators, instructors, and tutors.

• Evaluate source materials from various disciplines and transform them into digital learning resources.

• Plan and manage production schedules to enhance process efficiency.

• Create storyboards and/or outlines derived from source content.

• Produce or assist in the creation of highly intricate learning resources.

• Design and craft course scripts centered on enhancing the learning experience and the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies.

• Validate tests, exercises, quizzes, and assessments based on taxonomies aimed at skill and competency development.

• Utilize diverse language styles while maintaining adherence to standard Brazilian Portuguese conventions.

• Oversee and validate the delivery of final versions of educational materials.

• Ensure instructional resources meet quality standards in accordance with learning objectives.

• Contribute to practical and measurable results for the course production framework.

• Review data and reports to pinpoint areas for enhancement in the creation of educational resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Design, Technology, Communication, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and tools for distance learning.

• Experience in educational content development, particularly in higher education settings.

• Understanding of course syllabus development and learning objectives.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with proficiency in interpreting and generating written material.

• Knowledge of learning management systems.

• Intermediate Excel proficiency for managing production workflows.

• Capability to work effectively within a team while collaborating across various departments.

• Basic knowledge of project management, preferably in the realm of digital education.

• Comfortable using online meeting platforms such as Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• 44-hour workweek, from Monday to Friday.

• A postgraduate degree in Education, Design, Educational Technology, or Digital Education is preferred.
