Junior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate contractor invoices to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in accordance with contract stipulations.

• Monitor budget implementation and assist with fundamental financial reporting for designated task areas.

• Conduct data entry and reconciliation within agency financial management systems.

• Generate regular financial status reports and prepare briefing materials.

• Aid senior analysts with cost and price analysis worksheets during acquisition processes.

• Ensure financial documentation is maintained in line with agency recordkeeping standards.

• Provide support for DOI IBC-AQD Mission Support Services as well as acquisition and program operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, along with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of directly applicable experience in place of a degree.

• Capability to obtain and sustain a Moderate Risk Public Trust determination.

• U.S. citizenship is required to fulfill the requirements of this federal contract.

• Basic knowledge of federal budget execution and appropriations concepts.

• Proficiency in MS Excel for data tracking and fundamental financial analysis.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Familiarity with federal financial management systems (e.g., FBMS or similar ERP platforms) is preferred.

• Coursework or certification in federal financial management is preferred.

• Previous experience supporting a federal contract or working in a finance office of a federal agency is preferred.
