This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Environmental Management Program across both headquarters and field locations nationwide.
• Provide technical, analytical, and administrative assistance for environmental compliance, policy formulation, regulatory analysis, auditing, inspections, incident investigations, and recordkeeping.
• Create and uphold environmental policies, procedures, directives, guidance documents, forms, and communication materials.
• Conduct and support environmental compliance audits, which may include in-person, virtual, self-assessment, HQ, and TSDF audits.
• Review and revise environmental compliance checklists.
• Aid in the development and delivery of environmental training programs, including RCRA hazardous waste, DOT, and generator-specific training.
• Monitor and assess federal, state, and local environmental regulations as well as proposed rulemakings.
• Offer analysis and recommendations in response to regulatory changes.
• Generate and disseminate environmental communications and outreach materials.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports, plans, permits, and associated documentation.
• Support environmental incident responses, including spill or leak reporting and coordination efforts.
• Assist with regulatory inspections conducted by environmental agencies and fire marshals.
• Manage the client Environmental Management System portal and track program activities.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on continuous improvement.
• Travel to client facilities, including airport locations across CONUS and OCONUS.
• Compile routine reports summarizing program activities, compliance status, audit outcomes, and performance metrics.
• Track and communicate environmental risks, issues, and strategies for mitigation.
• Collaborate with client personnel, contractors, and external partners.
• Engage in team meetings, planning sessions, and coordination efforts.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain public trust clearance.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or a related environmental field.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in environmental work.
• Have familiarity with hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations.
• Capable of working in a dynamic environment and effectively interacting with civilian personnel and industry partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Exhibit a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative, requiring minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, including frequent overnight trips.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation capabilities.
• Candidates must reside in Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Idaho, in close proximity to a major airport.
• Professional certification, such as Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional, is preferred.
