This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist with data management tasks, which include receiving, transferring, loading, validating, ensuring quality, cleaning, organizing, maintaining availability, and governing files and data.
• Oversee data intake and output processes through the Geophysical Data Network (RDG), client systems, and authorized Katalyst tools.
• Execute operational procedures, complete checklists, perform basic quality checks, and run approved commands and scripts under supervision.
• Keep precise time records and aid in the timely processing of billing-related data.
• Revise control systems, spreadsheets, activity logs, indicators, and operational documentation.
• Detect, document, and escalate errors, inconsistencies, routine data problems, and technical issues.
• Assist in data preparation, basic reporting, monitoring storage, reviewing disk usage, tracking workflow progress, and reporting on data quality.
• Adhere to information security, confidentiality, and data governance protocols.
• Engage with client personnel, Katalyst operational staff, and project team members to facilitate project delivery.
• Familiarity with data transfer concepts, file organization, and data loading procedures.
• Eagerness to learn Katalyst and client-specific systems.
• Basic knowledge of seismic, non-seismic, well data, associated documents, and file formats.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow documented procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a foundational proficiency in English.
• Capability to identify routine issues, document observations, cross-reference information, and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Collaborative attitude and readiness to support collective project objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of Linux commands for file browsing, querying, and copying.
• Fundamental knowledge of Python or another programming language.
• Basic awareness of file integrity checking and quality control principles.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism in a client-focused setting.
• At least two years of relevant experience in data management, geophysical or subsurface data support, data loading, data transfer, technical operations, or a related analytical field.
• An undergraduate degree in data management, geoscience, information technology, databases, or a related discipline is preferred.
