Junior Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, optimize, and sustain scalable data pipelines along with ETL/ELT processes.

• Develop data architectures encompassing data lakes, warehouses, and integration layers.

• Establish data quality checks, validation mechanisms, and monitoring systems.

• Create and sustain integrations among data sources, third-party tools, and analytics platforms.

• Work collaboratively with Data & Analytics Managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

• Convert business requirements into technical solutions that facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Oversee and enhance pipeline performance, query efficiency, and storage expenditures.

• Generate and update technical documentation for data architectures, pipelines, and processes.

• Apply security best practices and ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.

• Utilize AI tools and automation to improve data engineering workflows and overall productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with leading cloud platform providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience with data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Background in working with international clients.

• Extensive experience in data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes.

• Knowledgeable in data warehousing solutions such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.

• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).

• Understanding of data modeling and principles of database design.

• Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Stitch, etc.) is a plus.

• Experience with streaming data platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis) is an additional benefit.

• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is advantageous.

• Experience in AI/ML pipeline development and MLOps is a plus.

• Background in D2C initiatives and e-commerce analytics is considered beneficial.

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are advantageous.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.

• Spanish communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are mandatory as stated in the Nice to Have section.
