Junior Credit Risk Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the financial statements of both current and potential clients to determine their creditworthiness.

• Assist in the creation of credit risk reports and risk assessments for individual clients.

• Aid in tracking and reporting the credit risk exposure within the company's portfolio.

• Assess the credit risk associated with new and existing counterparties by utilizing financial ratios and industry benchmarks.

• Gather and analyze financial data to uncover trends, patterns, and potential risks.

• Maintain and regularly update the credit risk database, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

• Review the company’s credit portfolio and suggest modifications as necessary.

• Generate reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and external regulatory standards.

• Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.

• Collaborate with finance, sales, and legal teams to collect information required for credit evaluations.

• Support the Senior Credit Risk Accountant and Credit Risk Manager with special projects and additional tasks as needed.

• Fundamental knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret and analyze financial data effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial analysis software is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to handle multiple tasks at once.

• Eagerness to learn and grow within the position.

• Availability to work mid-shift in the Philippines (2pm - 11pm local time).

• Recent graduate or 1-2 years of related experience.
