This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist in the validation of statistical and mathematical models pertaining to credit risk analysis.
• Ensure compliance with assumptions, data integrity, and the reliability of outcomes.
• Collaborate on evaluating credit policies in line with internal guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Take part in performance and stability assessments, which include backtesting, monitoring indicators, and benchmarking.
• Draft technical reports detailing findings, identified risks, and recommendations for modifications.
• Oversee the application of models and policies, confirming system parameterization and controls.
• Work closely with Credit and Collections teams to address inquiries and suggest enhancements.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary evidence and documentation.
• Contribute to the evolution of validation practices by proposing methodologies, tools, and indicators.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in validating statistical and predictive models, particularly those associated with credit risk and policies.
• Familiarity with backtesting methods, performance monitoring, and model stability evaluation.
• Capability to handle large data sets.
• Proficiency in Python is preferred.
• Skill in creating clear and concise technical reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams.
• Preferred: knowledge of credit regulations and compliance standards.
• Preferred: experience in financial institutions or large organizations with credit risk model validation.
• Preferred: postgraduate degree or MBA in Statistics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or a similar field.
• Preferred: proficiency in Python or R.
• Preferred: experience with machine learning applications in risk modeling and advanced validation techniques.
