Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of overdue accounts

• Perform outbound collection calls, emails, and text communications

• Negotiate payment plans and resolve delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations

• Conduct around 100 outbound collection calls daily

• Record call results, payment agreements, and account details in the CRM system

• De-escalate and manage interactions with frustrated or difficult customers in a professional manner

• Inform customers regarding their account status, balances, and available payment options

• Achieve or surpass daily, weekly, and monthly call volume and collection goals

• Adhere to applicable federal, state, and company collection laws and guidelines, including the FDCPA when relevant

• Recognize accounts that need to be escalated to a supervisor or require alternative resolutions

• Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-centric demeanor

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework is preferred

• Previous experience in collections, call center, or customer service roles is mandatory

• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing

• Clear and professional communication skills over the phone

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities

• Capability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused when dealing with escalated or challenging customers

• Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced calling environment

• Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with CRM or collections software

• High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping

• Positive attitude, dependability, and a genuine customer-first approach

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Background check is required

• Knowledge of the construction or solar industry is preferred

• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus

• Understanding of collections-related regulations and compliance requirements

• Prior experience with outbound dialer systems is beneficial
