Collections Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reach out to members with outstanding balances exceeding 61 days to address overdue accounts

• Manage assigned accounts and adhere to the defined collections workflow

• Contact members who have inactive VR accounts, particularly those inactive for over 90 days

• Follow up on accounts labeled as Never Started / Need Return and identify suitable next actions

• Gather outstanding payments and process transactions in line with company guidelines

• Clarify balances, payment expectations, and available resolution options

• Elevate accounts that need further review or support

• Reach out to members regarding equipment that requires return

• Outline return requirements and guide members through the return process

• Coordinate requests for return labels and follow up on unreturned equipment

• Impose appropriate non-return charges as per company policy

• Record every member interaction meticulously, including call results, payment details, return status, and next steps

• Keep account notes current, update statuses and tracking information, and follow up according to designated timelines

• Make outbound calls related to balances, payments, inactive services, and equipment returns

• Approach challenging or sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy

• Respond to member inquiries and clearly articulate next steps

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in collections, customer service, healthcare, billing, or a comparable field preferred

• Comfortable with a high volume of outbound calls

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills

• Comfortable discussing balances and soliciting payments from members

• Capable of handling challenging conversations with professionalism

• Strong follow-through and ability to navigate multiple systems
