Junior Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the complete digital software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, research, design, stakeholder engagement, testing, and the delivery of user-facing systems.

• Collect requirements through stakeholder interviews, document analysis, questionnaires, business process evaluations, use cases, scenarios, and the assessment of existing systems.

• Record requirements utilizing BDD specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow and UML diagrams, use cases, and user manuals.

• Maintain documentation for requirements traceability and oversee requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Convey system requirements and organizational processes to team members and stakeholders effectively.

• Lead meetings to gather, document, refine, and prioritize requirements, design improvements, identify action items, and encourage user feedback.

• Document UX design discussions, articulate requirements in the team workspace, and convert requirements into user stories within the issue tracking system.

• Define and implement testing activities, including test scenarios, test cases, procedures, and documentation of results.

• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, designers, and UX researchers within an Agile framework.

• Suggest improvements for internal processes and potential solutions.

• Partner with the Scrum Master and provide necessary backup support.

• Must have a completed bachelor's degree by the start date.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.

• All work must be conducted within the U.S. as per contract stipulations.

• Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Word, is essential.

• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence or similar applications that facilitate Agile software delivery is required.

• Certification or training as a Scrum Master/Agile practitioner is preferred.

• Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in business process analysis and diagramming using tools like Microsoft Visio or Mural, are essential.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, are necessary.

• Ability to handle multiple projects, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines is crucial.

• Must successfully pass any required background checks.
