Junior Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the entire digital software development process, encompassing requirements gathering, research, design, stakeholder interaction, testing, and the delivery of user-facing systems.

• Collect requirements through interviews with stakeholders, document analysis, questionnaires, business process evaluations, use cases, scenarios, and review of existing systems.

• Record requirements utilizing BDD specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow and UML diagrams, use cases, and user manuals.

• Maintain documentation for requirements traceability and oversee requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Convey system requirements and organizational processes to team members and stakeholders effectively.

• Organize meetings to collect, document, refine, and prioritize requirements; design improvements; pinpoint action items; and facilitate user feedback.

• Log UX design conversations, draft requirements in the team workspace, and break down requirements into user stories in the issue tracking system.

• Establish test scenarios and cases, carry out testing procedures, and document outcomes.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, designers, and UX researchers within an Agile framework.

• Suggest internal process improvements and viable solutions.

• Work alongside the Scrum Master and provide backup support when necessary.

• A completed bachelor's degree by the start date.

• Must be a citizen of the United States.

• Must reside within the U.S.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S.

• All work must be conducted within the U.S. as per contract stipulations.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Proficient in JIRA and Confluence or comparable applications that support Agile software delivery.

• Scrum Master/Agile certification or training is required.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong analytical abilities, particularly in business process analysis and diagramming with tools like Microsoft Visio or Mural.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Must successfully pass any required background checks.
