This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Assist in the cultivation of new business opportunities throughout Eastern Europe, emphasizing defense, aerospace, UAVs, and governmental clients.
• Conduct thorough research on regional markets, defense priorities, procurement initiatives, competitors, and potential collaborators.
• Support senior Business Development team members during the entire commercial process, from identifying opportunities to proposal and contract phases.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customers, government representatives, local partners, and other essential regional stakeholders.
• Aid in the creation of proposals, tenders, presentations, commercial offers, and materials directed at customers.
• Monitor public tenders, procurement prospects, defense initiatives, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, finance, and operations teams on both technical and business cases.
• Plan and coordinate customer meetings, demonstrations, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of opportunities, customer interactions, next steps, and commercial priorities.
• Travel throughout Eastern Europe as necessary to engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Relations, Economics, Engineering, Aerospace, Defense Studies, or a related discipline.
• Initial experience in business development, sales, consulting, defense, aerospace, government relations, or a comparable setting through employment, internships, or pertinent projects.
• A strong interest in the defense and aerospace sectors and a desire to build a career in an international commercial role.
• Familiarity with Eastern European markets and their commercial landscapes.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities, capable of transforming market data into actionable commercial insights.
• Confidence in engaging with various stakeholders in an international context.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Romanian or another Eastern European language is highly regarded.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region.
• Experience with government procurement, tenders, UAVs, aerospace, or defense technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
