This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Establish new vendor profiles and gather onboarding documents such as Form W-9 and tax information.
• Keep vendor master files updated and accurate.
• Review, assess, and investigate purchase orders, vendor invoices, and goods receipts.
• Ensure proper general ledger coding, accurate pricing, and necessary management approvals.
• Record vendor invoices and journal entries.
• Manage electronic payment processes.
• Reconcile vendor statements with general ledger accounts.
• Conduct daily and weekly bank transaction reconciliations.
• Assist in developing cash flow and payment forecasts for leadership.
• Carry out AP aging reviews and create cash forecasts.
• Generate ad hoc reports and reconciliations for management.
• Maintain and enhance accounting systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with accounting team members and client stakeholders.
• Report directly to the Company Controller and participate in client meetings and updates during US Eastern Time working hours.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of demonstrated experience as an AP specialist, Accountant, or Bookkeeper.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, GL account coding, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, SUMIF functions, and macros.
• Required availability for updates and meetings during US Eastern Time working hours.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player.
• Proactive and capable of taking initiative without constant supervision.
• Experience serving US-based clients or familiarity with US GAAP and tax processes is preferred.
• Practical experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or AppFolio is preferred.
• Basic competency in using AI/prompting tools; strong prompting skills are a plus.
• Legally eligible to work remotely as a freelancer or contractor based in the Philippines.
• Natural-born Filipino citizen or foreign national with a valid work visa or permit to work legally in the Philippines.
• Must have a computer or laptop capable of meeting work requirements.
• Reliable home internet connection with speeds of at least 200–300 Mbps.
• A quiet, distraction-free home work environment.
• Willingness to work graveyard shifts or adapt to changing US schedules.
• Overtime must receive prior approval from the client.
• Work from home.
• Guaranteed minimum of 2 hours per shift each workday.
