Jira and Confluence Data Center Engineer – ScriptRunner, Groovy, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop a simulated environment that replicates the live NATO cyber operations management platform across its two networks.

• Recreate the relationship between Jira and Confluence, including production plugins, Jira processes, low-side/high-side workflow tracking, dynamically published wiki pages, and dynamic page templates.

• Populate the system with enough mock data for every process to operate at least ten times without repeating any records.

• Document functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with NATO AQAP standards.

• Determine which data needs to be migrated to a replacement capability.

• Write requirements in Confluence and present them as a Word document.

• Create a recorded walkthrough that showcases the platform and each requirement with corresponding timecodes.

• Store the video for the duration of the contract plus an additional two months.

• Present the mock-up during an industry engagement day and respond to inquiries.

• Ensure the demonstration environment is fully operational on the specified day.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience in Atlassian Jira Data Center administration.

• A minimum of five years of experience in Confluence Data Center administration.

• Strong comprehension of Jira and Confluence internals, including database-level insight.

• Proficiency in Java, Groovy, and ScriptRunner.

• Exceptional Bash and Python scripting skills for automation and customization.

• Experience in deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Genuine experience with dynamic content management and Jira-to-Confluence integration.

• Experience in managing metadata across Confluence, Office, PDF documents, and SharePoint.

• Experience in Linux server management; Red Hat experience is preferred.

• Prior experience on the platform itself is a significant advantage.

• A valid security clearance.

• Citizenship of a NATO member country.

• Video narration should be conducted by a native English speaker or an individual with STANAG 6001 speaking level 4.
