JavaScript Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement new features while addressing bugs based on user requirements.

• Guarantee the delivery of high-quality and dependable software solutions.

• Utilize JavaScript (Angular), HTML, and CSS development methodologies, frameworks, and patterns.

• Engage in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive criticism.

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders using JIRA, Git, and GitHub within an Agile framework.

• Stay informed about the team's build system and deployment processes.

• Take ownership of features from the design phase through to implementation.

• Make informed technology decisions while maintaining design, code, and documentation standards for the team.

• Leverage approved AI tools for code comprehension, development, debugging, test creation, and routine implementation tasks; assess and validate AI-generated outputs.

• Identify and resolve persistent root causes impacting customers and the team.

• Participate in on-call rotations and address operational challenges.

• Work in collaboration with CloudOps, DevOps, Product, Design, and various other stakeholders.

• Act as a representative for the team when liaising with external parties and other departments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development with a focus on delivering high-quality applications.

• Comprehensive understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and fundamental web development principles, frameworks, and patterns.

• Proficient in cloud technologies, microservices, DevOps practices, and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with GitHub and version control systems.

• Experience with network and browser debugging tools, such as Chrome DevTools, Postman, and Fiddler.

• Demonstrated experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.

• Proven ability to manage changing priorities and work within geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
