This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, architect, and execute high-availability, fault-tolerant enterprise Java applications.
• Develop clean, secure, and optimized code utilizing modern Java features for large-scale financial transactions.
• Create and scale distributed microservices architectures that are optimized for transactional consistency and speed.
• Enhance data models, create transactional database schemas, and manage both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and secure APIs for integrations with third-party financial networks and ERP systems.
• Oversee and automate secure cloud-based deployment pipelines using DevOps methodologies on AWS.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold financial security coding standards.
• Mentor members of the engineering team.
• Identify bottlenecks in financial transactions and optimize query performance.
• Guarantee zero-downtime deployments in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-performance, low-latency financial software.
• Contribute to pricing engines and high-volume enterprise applications.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Demonstrated success in working with large-scale distributed systems, enterprise SaaS products, or financial/transactional applications.
• Extensive background in building and deploying software in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven experience in migrating monolithic applications to distributed microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in Java 17 / Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate ORM, and JPA.
• Knowledge of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, Distributed Transactions (Saga pattern), and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, and Couchbase.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka.
• Proficient in AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers, automated contract testing, Maven, or Gradle.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong system-level troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-starter attitude with the capability to navigate ambiguity.
• Outstanding proactive communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
