Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Create clean and efficient code utilizing Java, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, PostgreSQL, and OpenShift.

• Design and establish a robust microservices architecture.

• Assist in the implementation and optimization of CI/CD processes.

• Analyze complex technical challenges and devise innovative solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

• Implement and uphold unit tests.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback.

• Refactor and enhance the existing codebase.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

• Mentor junior developers.

• Contribute to technical documentation, API specifications, and system architecture diagrams.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Work alongside DevOps teams on the deployment and operation of software solutions.

• Interact with customers to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with software development projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with Java (Spring Boot, Spring) or microservice architecture.

• Knowledge of unit testing, clean code practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Involvement in at least 1–2 commercial software projects.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or currently pursuing one.

• Proficient in English; German language skills are a plus.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Scrum teams.

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.

• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally OpenShift or Kubernetes.

• Background in database design and SQL, specifically PostgreSQL.

• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and keeping abreast of new technologies.

• Excellent time management skills and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
