IT/OT Transformation Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of IT/OT transformation projects across various manufacturing locations.

• Execute OT evaluations, technology upgrades, industrial data foundations, and IT/OT integration initiatives.

• Collaborate with architects and domain specialists to outline integration roadmaps, reference architectures, and governance frameworks.

• Convert current-state complexities into a strategic future-state vision.

• Facilitate workshops, conduct site evaluations, lead discovery sessions, and engage in stakeholder interviews.

• Manage executive-level communications and governance involving Operations, Engineering, IT, OT, Cybersecurity, and business leadership.

• Oversee programme scope, timelines, budget, risks, dependencies, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

• Incorporate organizational change management into programme implementation.

• Propel measurable business outcomes within manufacturing operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in managing extensive IT/OT, industrial automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives within manufacturing settings.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, at an executive stakeholder and governance level.

• Proven history of delivering multi-site programs, including management of scope, timelines, budget, risks, and dependencies in complex industrial contexts.

• Experience in leading workshops, conducting site evaluations, facilitating discovery sessions, and interviewing stakeholders.

• Capability to develop and oversee transformation roadmaps that yield measurable business results in manufacturing operations.

• Experience in collaboration with architects and domain experts to establish OT/IT integration roadmaps, reference architectures, and technology standards.

• In-depth knowledge of industrial automation, OT environments, and manufacturing systems like SCADA, DCS, and MES.

• Acquainted with industrial data foundations and the convergence of IT/OT.

• Familiar with working across multi-site manufacturing organizations with varied technology landscapes and operational maturity levels.

• Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholder groups across Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, OT, IT, Cybersecurity, and senior business leadership.

• Excellent executive communication and governance skills.

• Background in managing organizational change as part of programme delivery.

• A systematic approach to risk management, dependency tracking, and programme reporting.

• Formal programme management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PMI-ACP is advantageous.

• Experience in regulated manufacturing sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, energy, aerospace, or food & beverage is a plus.

• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks such as IEC 62443 or NIST CSF is beneficial.

• Knowledge of cloud-connected industrial platforms like Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or Siemens MindSphere is desirable.

• A background in consulting or systems integration delivering transformation programmes to manufacturing clients is a plus.
