This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Organize the setup and modification of technology services for new facilities and office relocations.
• Coordinate and process requests related to IT systems and infrastructure.
• Oversee projects within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation.
• Manage IT changes resulting from government reorganizations, including updates to department names and the relocation of programs, services, and personnel.
• Facilitate changes to user accounts, distribution lists, security groups, shared mailboxes, network drives, business applications, and telecom services.
• Lead teams in the execution of information technology projects.
• Manage a portfolio of RFS and Government Reorganization projects.
• Establish and nurture relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
• Plan, oversee, and report on projects for branches, divisions, individual ministries, and multiple ministries.
• Ensure effective governance of stakeholders and demonstrate the value and benefits of projects.
• Adhere to and enhance RFS and GR project processes.
• Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure.
• Lead consultations and stakeholder meetings.
• Schedule and conduct project status meetings.
• Develop project and planning documentation.
• Ensure that delivery aligns with scope, deliverables, timelines, client expectations, cybersecurity standards, and operational processes.
• Provide online project status reports and maintain documentation in SharePoint.
• Employ project-management methodologies and governance tools to manage resources and stakeholder participation.
• Track and report on time and work status.
• Document technical recommendations and advise management, operations, and project team members.
• Ensure adherence to change-management processes.
• Recommend actions regarding issues, risks, and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate on proof-of-concept and limited production rollouts.
• Ensure quality control on production implementations.
• Communicate operational guidelines and policies to clients.
• Evaluate services and technology requests, assess operational impacts, and recommend remediation strategies.
• Intermediate-level experience as an IT Technical Business Analyst / Project Coordinator.
• Diverse IT expertise enabling independent work or guiding others.
• Experience in coordinating and executing IT projects of various scopes and sizes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft file system security within the GoA environment.
• Proficient in investigating, analyzing, and coordinating IT changes.
• Skilled in leading consultations and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
• Capable of confirming or creating business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
• Ability to generate project and planning documents.
• Competent in managing project scope, deliverables, schedules, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with GoA cybersecurity, operational, change-management, and governance processes.
• Proficient in preparing status reports and maintaining project documentation in SharePoint.
• Ability to provide technical recommendations, advice, and guidance.
• Competent in collaborating with multidisciplinary IT teams on proof-of-concept and limited production rollouts.
• Capable of ensuring quality control for production implementations.
• Able to review service and technology requests and assess their operational impact.
• Proficient in using AI tools ethically while maintaining human control, security, and privacy.
