This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Address intricate technical challenges and provide prompt, effective solutions for clients.
• Manage and respond to escalated service requests, incidents, and modification requests.
• Assist junior technical team members with escalations that exceed Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 capabilities.
• Educate and train VC3 clients on established technical standards.
• Diagnose issues related to customer line-of-business applications, web browsers, and Microsoft Office suites.
• Resolve network connectivity problems, including ISP issues, DHCP, DNS, wireless networks, firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Troubleshoot VPN, RDS, Citrix, and operating systems on servers, desktops, and laptops.
• Perform technical administrative tasks such as virus/malware removal, virtual server resource modifications, and AD/365/application password resets.
• Recognize recurring issues and initiate problem tickets.
• Propose enhancements for supported hardware and software.
• Collaborate with vendors, third parties, and client subject matter experts during troubleshooting efforts.
• Execute additional responsibilities as needed.
• Adhere to the VC3 Way standards and processes to ensure reliable customer outcomes.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience required, or 2 years in a Systems Analyst I role at VC3 with consistently achieved KPIs in a Systems Analyst/Engineer I position.
• Over 5 years of experience managing Windows Server, Microsoft/Office 365, Active Directory, GPOs, virus and security measures, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V and VMware, routing and switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
• At least 3 years of experience with virtualization technologies: Hyper-V and VMware.
• Comprehensive understanding of current IT concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to comprehend and analyze complex issues.
• CCNA, VMware, or Microsoft 365/Azure certifications are highly preferred.
• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
• Subject to criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks.
