IT Project Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee one or multiple Information Technology-focused projects within the AMSURG IT Department.

• Manage executive stakeholders and pivotal project teams.

• Propel projects through the stages of discovery, strategy, planning, execution, transition, and closure.

• Initiate, coordinate, and finalize several concurrent projects across various business areas and departments.

• Establish and nurture relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and enhance customer satisfaction initiatives.

• Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and criteria for project success in collaboration with senior management.

• Document current-state and target-state processes and environments.

• Develop and present project plans and communication documents.

• Manage, monitor, and track project progress effectively.

• Estimate and allocate resources and participants for the project.

• Assign responsibilities and summarize ongoing progress.

• Identify, resolve, and escalate project issues and conflicts as necessary.

• Manage project dependencies, critical paths, scope changes, change control, and contingency plans.

• Create and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations.

• Utilize project delivery metrics to assess and enhance team performance.

• Conduct project post-mortems and promote continuous improvement.

• Develop best practices and tools for project execution.

• Standardize practices and consolidate tracking methods across projects.

• Contribute to the IT Project Management Office.

• Collaborate with project management and IT teams to fulfill technology actions.

• Educate project team members in project management methodologies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to corporate compliance requirements and participate in mandatory training.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-2 years of project management experience in an enterprise setting.

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

• PMI Project Management Professional Certification or an equivalent credential is strongly preferred.

• Experience working independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines using analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to respond promptly and effectively to project modifications and changes.

• Proficiency in interpreting communication styles of team members and contractors from diverse backgrounds.

• Ability to gain cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to alleviate tension among project team members.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in researching project-related issues and products.

• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Must provide personal insured transportation to and from work and other locations as required by the job.

• Must comply with the company’s code of conduct, ethics guidelines, policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.

• Must report any suspected violations according to company reporting policies.
