IT Project Delivery Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the execution of significant technology projects for OHA and ODHS.

• Supervise and lead senior project managers, coordinators, and various project personnel.

• Support the EDGE Senior IT Director and CIO in the planning and administration of statewide information systems, operations, and service delivery.

• Collaborate with OHA and ODHS Chief Operating Officers, Project Directors, and Program Leaders to define strategic and tactical project methodologies, staffing, and processes.

• Engage with the State CIO’s office, State Procurement Office, Legislative Fiscal Office, State Data Center, and federal funding partners throughout the project life cycles.

• Contribute to the establishment of strategic technology directions for OHA and ODHS programmatic and administrative functions.

• Develop tactical and project plans while participating in statewide planning initiatives.

• Supervise project managers and coordinators assigned to lead specific projects.

• Offer project management expertise, coaching, and best practices through the Enterprise PMO.

• Ensure that critical technology projects adhere to standardized and consistent methodologies.

• Collaborate with EDGE leadership and the Enterprise PMO Manager to implement OIS programs, policies, and procedures.

• Represent OIS in governance committees, steering committees, and other key decision-making bodies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seven years of supervisory, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of management experience within an IT organization.

• 4–6 years of experience leading a Project Delivery team for large-scale initiatives.

• 4–6 years of experience managing a project portfolio exceeding $50 million.

• 4–6 years of experience in executive communication, relationship building, and collaboration.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Strong customer service orientation and a high level of responsiveness to customer needs.

• Proven ability to advise on large, complex IT initiatives and guide project teams through substantial challenges.

• Submission of a resume and cover letter is required.

• Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check meeting OHA criteria.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; this position does not offer visa sponsorship.

• Must complete I-9 documentation and work authorization verification within three days of hire.
