IT Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle management (initiation, planning, execution, closeout) adhering to established PM standards and VA/customer procedures.

• Create and sustain project charters, schedules, plans, and accessible project artifacts.

• Keep a unified Enterprise Agreement issue log that tracks milestones, risks, variances, costs, resources, and SLA commitments.

• Lead kickoffs, working groups, status meetings, and formal reviews for deliverable acceptance.

• Provide weekly status updates to the customer's Program Managers and escalate any issues that need leadership decisions.

• Collaborate with customer partners, internal teams, and external vendors.

• Enhance project standards and quality objectives in line with customer directives.

• Manage change control processes, communicate approved changes, and monitor corrective actions.

• Support governance and oversight in areas such as identity, security, compliance, offline personas, ordering guidance, and EA maturity/strategic roadmap initiatives.

• Monitor SLAs and report on the security/compliance posture for Enterprise Agreements.

• Assess enterprise-wide technology requirements and compare EA entitlements with more cost-effective access methods.

• Integrate cost and utilization data into optimization recommendations that guide EA renewal and negotiation strategies.

• Suggest licensing combinations and platform alternatives to the customer and product owners.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of two (2) years of successful management of IT projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to IT.

• Experience in managing enterprise-scale IT programs, preferably in federal environments.

• PMP certification or proven expertise in PMP-aligned project management, risk management, and schedule oversight.

• Proven ability to coordinate among various technical and business teams and vendors.

• Solid understanding of enterprise licensing, identity management, compliance, and security aspects.

• Capability to analyze cost and utilization data for making enterprise-scale technology and entitlement strategy decisions.

• Excellent executive communication skills; ability to present decision-ready recommendations to senior VA leadership.

• Must qualify for a position with Tier 1 / Low Risk sensitivity.

• Required to undergo a government background check.

• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

• Occasional travel and overtime may be necessary.
