This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and steer various IT projects and programs from the initial phase to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
• Guide, mentor, and nurture team members through clear direction, consistent feedback, and performance coaching.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to synchronize release deployment and integration with project objectives and schedules.
• Engage with multiple vendor partners to ensure alignment in delivery.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC methodologies, which include requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain program documentation, such as project plans, status reports, release notes, and program reviews.
• Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and apply mitigation strategies effectively.
• Organize project status meetings and relay updates to stakeholders and management.
• Guarantee that project deliverables are timely, meet quality standards, and align with business objectives.
• Lead a delivery team by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, providing hands-on assistance, and resolving conflicts.
• Distribute and oversee resources across projects while addressing any constraints or gaps.
• Continuously enhance project management processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in managing IT projects and programs.
• Strong practical project management skills, including experience in project planning, execution, and delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of program and project management methodologies, especially the Agile methodology.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its various phases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the aptitude to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• PgMP or PMP certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Property and Casualty Insurance sector is preferred.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management and tracking is preferred.
• Proficiency in program management tools and software is preferred, including MS Productivity Suite and Jira.
