IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and continually enhance infrastructure systems that support PSI’s global business operations.

• Develop, implement, maintain, and upgrade Windows and Linux server infrastructure.

• Oversee and manage virtualization, storage, and backup platforms.

• Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services hosted on Windows and Linux platforms, including email and business systems.

• Manage monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Plan and execute OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in accordance with company policies.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and engage in larger initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of infrastructure systems.

• Maintain inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and related services.

• Coordinate with infrastructure vendors on deliveries, contracts, and vendor activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Collaborate with the Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Practical knowledge of virtualization technologies.

• Experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration.

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Practical experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues while maintaining detailed technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V.

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Experience with Zabbix or other infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages and infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Experience with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure technologies.
