IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, maintain, and continuously enhance infrastructure systems that support PSI's global business operations.

• Develop, implement, maintain, and upgrade Windows and Linux server infrastructure.

• Oversee and sustain virtualization, storage, and backup platforms.

• Manage Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services hosted on Windows and Linux platforms, including email and business systems.

• Oversee monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Plan and conduct OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in line with company policies.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and take part in larger infrastructure initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of infrastructure systems.

• Keep an accurate inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and related services.

• Collaborate with infrastructure vendors, including managing deliveries, executing contracts, and overseeing vendor activities.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Work together with the Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Practical knowledge of virtualization technologies.

• Experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration.

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

• Experience with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Knowledge of Zabbix or other infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for infrastructure automation.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure areas.
