IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance server infrastructure for both Windows and Linux environments.

• Oversee and maintain virtualization, storage, and backup platforms.

• Manage Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services running on Windows and Linux platforms, including email and business systems.

• Handle infrastructure management and supporting systems, such as monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Plan and carry out OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in line with company policies.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and engage in larger infrastructure initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of infrastructure systems.

• Keep an accurate inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and associated services.

• Coordinate with infrastructure vendors, including managing deliveries, contract execution, and vendor activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Collaborate with Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Practical experience with virtualization technologies.

• Proficient in Windows and/or Linux server administration.

• Familiar with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Practical knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Competent in infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V.

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

• Familiar with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Experienced with Zabbix or other infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Proficient in PowerShell or other scripting languages and infrastructure automation.

• Familiar with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Experience with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure areas.
