IT Desktop Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the tier 3 escalation point for Support teams, taking ownership of intricate, non-routine desktop, operating system, and productivity application challenges.

• Analyze advanced technical problems, perform root-cause analysis, and develop lasting solutions or knowledge-base documentation.

• Facilitate communication among end users, support personnel, and engineering teams while ensuring excellent customer service.

• Provide support and administration for Microsoft Intune endpoint environments and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

• Uphold standard computing environments and assist with software distribution tasks.

• Generate documentation and pinpoint process enhancements to improve the technology experience for employees.

• Oversee escalated tickets, share insights with Tier 1/2 teams, and collaborate across infrastructure and application divisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Enterprise Desktop Support, Helpdesk, or Tier 2/3 escalation positions.

• Extensive hands-on experience in remotely troubleshooting Windows 10/11 operating systems, standard enterprise applications, peripheral configurations, and intricate user profile issues.

• Proven track record in diagnosing hardware conflicts, system crashes, software incompatibilities, and registry/policy problems.

• Familiarity with or exposure to Microsoft Intune (device management, software distribution) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is preferred.

• Basic understanding of client networking concepts (VPN, Wi-Fi, basic IP/DNS connectivity) as they relate to remote endpoint troubleshooting.

• A college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience in enterprise support.

• CompTIA A+, MD-102, or other relevant desktop support certifications are advantageous.
