
IT Business Analyst – Apptio TBM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Provide support for Apptio Cost Transparency, Planning, TBM Studio, and other related TBM functions through configuration, maintenance, enhancements, issue resolution, data management, and quality control.
• Assist with Benchmarking & Survey Management, which includes the collection, validation, analysis, and timely submission of benchmark and survey data.
• Collaborate with IT consultancy and business units to develop and comprehend business cases and requirements for technology-related challenges.
• Conduct thorough interviews with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and technical personnel.
• Define and create effective functional requirements.
• Develop user-friendly business process mappings for intricate systems and workflows.
• Utilize IT and business knowledge to articulate business requirements.
• Support business relationship management, business strategy and planning, as well as portfolio/demand management.
• Foster productive relationships with colleagues, management, business functions, and external partners.
• May require travel and performing duties within a typical office setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Generally requires 3 years of experience in information systems, including analysis of business applications.
• Practical experience in configuring and developing models within Apptio Technology Business Management (TBM) Studio.
• Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) principles.
• Proven experience with TBM and Apptio, including configuration, cost transparency, planning, reporting, and financial management tasks.
• Capability to assess Apptio enhancements, AI insights, automation, and platform functionalities.
• Skill in interpreting, comparing, and summarizing benchmark and survey findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to grasp business direction, objectives, and IT system implications.
• Detail-oriented approach to functional requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates, plans, and project tracking.
• Competence in creating effective presentations and documentation.
• Ability to disseminate knowledge, document processes, support platform enablement, and implement TBM and Apptio best practices.
• Capability to mentor junior team members and delegate tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines.
• Strong judgment and creativity in addressing complex or ambiguous issues.
• Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex problems.
• No licensure, registration, or certification necessary.
