IT Automation, Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee and integrate essential SaaS systems vital to business operations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, customer support platforms, billing or subscription systems, collaboration tools, and engineering tools.

• Create dependable workflows and ensure data synchronization across various SaaS platforms.

• Develop automation scripts and build automation tools utilizing contemporary development environments, IDEs, CLIs, and SDKs.

• Construct internal CLI tools, small internal services, event-driven automation pipelines utilizing APIs and webhooks, internal bots, and ChatOps integrations.

• Design and execute robust API-driven integrations among business systems.

• Automate CRM workflows, synchronize customer, billing, and product usage data, automate entitlement provisioning, and interconnect support, product, and CRM workflows.

• Create internal tools for IT and operations, managing onboarding and access, data synchronization, business operations dashboards, and platforms for Slack or internal collaboration.

• Discover opportunities to implement AI-powered support assistants, LLM-driven knowledge retrieval, automated ticket triage and resolution, AI copilots, and operational data analysis.

• Establish automated and developer-friendly employee workflows, covering onboarding and offboarding processes, identity and access provisioning, self-service IT automation, and internal APIs.

• Act as the highest level of IT support for end-users within a global remote workforce, focusing on root-cause analysis and a person-first service approach.

• Ensure compliance with established ISO frameworks.

• Implement and manage endpoint security measures, including Mobile Device Management with JumpCloud and enterprise-grade password management solutions.

• Perform regular access audits and uphold Zero Trust architecture principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering, including at least 3 years in a senior position responsible for internal business systems and automation at a SaaS or tech company.

• Proficient scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, and Node.js.

• Extensive experience managing GCP and AWS environments, including VPCs, IAM roles, EC2, and S3.

• Strong experience with external APIs, including REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth authentication flows, webhook-based event systems, and SaaS SDKs and integration frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.

• Experience in implementing and managing SSO, SAML, SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust access models.

• Proven track record of supporting or passing security and compliance audits such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.

• Preferred experience in remote-first or globally distributed work environments.

• Familiarity with experimenting or implementing AI-driven automation, including LLM APIs, AI copilots, semantic search or knowledge retrieval systems, and automated AI support or ticket triage.

• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for managing internal IT microservices.

• Experience applying SLIs/SLOs to internal IT services.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize complex backlogs effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.

• Passion for utilizing AI tools to automate and enhance internal IT business processes.

• Understanding of security frameworks and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving process gaps.
