This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows utilizing PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Create and manage automated workflows for user lifecycle, device provisioning, and identity lifecycle using Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, APIs, and webhooks.
• Implement automations with logging and alerting, monitoring hours saved and errors minimized.
• Convert repetitive IT operations processes into dependable, documented, automated solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to expedite script development, troubleshoot automation failures, and draft technical documentation while ensuring the validity of outputs before production use.
• Administer, configure, and oversee Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, and Tanium.
• Manage and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Address Windows and macOS end-user computing issues via ticketing, messaging, and voice or video sessions.
• Document technical solutions in compliance with corporate IT and Information Security standards and policies.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to pinpoint automation opportunities.
• Test, deploy, and monitor automation workflows alongside partner teams.
• Provide occasional guidance to Service Desk colleagues on scripting and automation best practices.
• Document workflows, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Own and maintain the automation knowledge base, runbooks, and integration notes.
• Enhance automation reliability, reduce inefficiencies, and foresee dependencies.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of deployed automation, escalating and resolving issues as necessary.
• Validate AI-generated scripts, configurations, and recommendations in non-production environments.
• Share effective AI-assisted techniques and prompts with team members.
• Identify opportunities to implement automation and AI within Business Technology workflows and escalate larger opportunities to management.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including practical experience in writing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Practical experience administering or supporting enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
• Proven experience in adapting or troubleshooting existing automation, scripts, or workflows to address moderately complex, ambiguous technical challenges.
• Experience utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for research, communication, analysis, documentation, automation, workflow optimization, and decision-making.
• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to develop, deploy, or automate a working solution, supported by a portfolio, repository, or project example.
• Must be located in the United States Central or Mountain time zone, with working hours aligned to that time zone.
• Capable of managing escalations that require cross-team coordination.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for urgent issues outside of business hours.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Availability for occasional travel to Rithum offices, anticipated quarterly.
• Successful professional experience in a remote working environment.
• Preferred: 3 or more years of experience in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent scripting/automation certifications.
• Preferred: Experience integrating automation with IT service management or endpoint management tools like ServiceNow, Microsoft Intune, or Jira.
• Preferred: Familiarity with workflow orchestration or automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Workato.
• Preferred: Understanding of REST API integration patterns and event-driven concepts like webhooks, triggers, and conditional logic.
• Preferred: Exposure to endpoint management and protection platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Tanium, or CrowdStrike.
• Preferred: Personal projects, repositories, or hackathon contributions that showcase scripting or automation skills.
