Security Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in deploying and utilizing Foresite’s SOAR-powered ecosystem.

• Collaborate directly with external clients throughout each project engagement.

• Write and modify Python scripts for API integrations and automated functions.

• Partner with customer stakeholders to identify tools, processes, and challenges.

• Create customized automation workflows, playbooks, and blocks.

• Oversee the management of playbook and script repositories using Git and GitHub best practices.

• Design, construct, and troubleshoot automation playbooks, workflows, and blocks within Google SecOps SOAR.

• Act as the primary technical liaison during customer interactions.

• Provide hands-on training to customer teams for enablement.

• Identify bottlenecks in security operations and implement solutions to decrease MTTD and MTTR.

• Develop clear, customer-oriented documentation for playbooks, workflows, and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in security engineering or security operations.

• Basic Python scripting abilities.

• Proficient in working with RESTful APIs.

• Experience with parsing JSON data structures.

• Background in integrating data across various platforms.

• Proven experience with GitHub, including tasks such as branching, merging, and pull requests.

• Eagerness and capability to learn Google SecOps SOAR or other significant SOAR platforms.

• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

• Excellent analytical abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
