IT Architect – Modern Workplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the enterprise architecture for the Modern Workplace sector, encompassing endpoint management, collaboration platforms, and identity/access integration.

• Develop and implement roadmaps for Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Windows 11, Apple Business Manager, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Soti MDM, and associated client technologies.

• Formulate architecture and deployment strategies for AI-enhanced workplace tools, considering licensing, data governance, and security aspects.

• Define and track the Digital Employee Experience strategy.

• Ensure that outsourced services comply with enterprise architecture standards.

• Create architecture standards, reference designs, and governance guidelines for device management, application deployment, and Zero Trust/Conditional Access policies.

• Establish responsible AI governance guidelines in collaboration with security and compliance stakeholders.

• Assess and choose tools and technologies to enhance employee experience, security posture, and operational efficiency.

• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in endpoint and device management and determine their suitability for the organization.

• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and service management teams.

• Provide support and guidance to technical teams during implementation as the design authority and escalation point.

• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including solution designs, technical standards, and decision records.

• Assess the impacts of new Microsoft/vendor releases and propose adoption strategies.

• Assist with license optimization and workplace technology cost management.

• Counsel stakeholders by converting business requirements into technical architecture decisions.

• Advise on AI-driven features that enhance employee productivity and self-service capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT architecture or senior engineering roles focused on end-user computing / Modern Workplace technologies.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, and Windows 11 client management.

• Proven track record in successfully delivering workplace roadmap initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of identity and access management concepts (Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles).

• Experience in device lifecycle management (Autopilot, provisioning, and patch management).

• Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) from an architectural standpoint.

• Capability to create clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with VDI and Digital Workspace platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VMware Horizon).

• Exposure to mobile device management (MDM/UEM) for non-Windows platforms (iOS, Android, macOS).

• Background in ITIL-based service management environments.

• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with complex compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in English (business level).
