
IT Applications Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create detailed and reproducible test cases and execute them autonomously.
• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to minimize production defects.
• Perform both manual and automated testing procedures.
• Automate essential functionalities and regression tests, ensuring that test scripts are efficient and reusable.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the automation test suite.
• Generate test cases, document test results, and prepare bug reports while maintaining up-to-date documentation for medium-sized features.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and BAs to clarify requirements and provide feedback throughout the release process.
• Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Identify obstacles to testing progress and work with other teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Review test cases for completeness, clarity, and alignment with established requirements.
• Provide peer feedback and collaboratively refine test cases.
• Analyze results to evaluate testing effectiveness and recommend process improvements.
• Enhance test automation knowledge and take ownership of executing and maintaining automated tests.
• Adapt to evolving requirements, system designs, technologies, priorities, and responsibilities.
• At least 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium or Katalon.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and best practices within the Agile Framework.
• Skilled in managing defects and maintaining test documentation using ADO.
• Experience in Property & Causality Insurance or similar domains.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
