IP Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and implement network and security systems, which encompass firewalls, web filtering solutions, LAN, WAN, routing protocols, failover strategies, IPSEC, and SSL VPNs.

• Execute technical operations on IP network components across various networks.

• Ensure the availability and performance of critical business networks.

• Establish and enforce policies for firewalls, virtual private networks, and other network security mechanisms.

• Deliver advanced support and troubleshooting for security and network infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network and security systems.

• Collaborate with integrators and vendors regarding upgrades, installations, downtime planning, and new features.

• Assess, test, and choose enterprise networking and security hardware and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with networking and TCP/IP protocols, including routing and switching, IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IP network components, such as routers, switches, and firewalls from Juniper, Fortinet, and Cisco.

• Proven experience in network design and implementation.

• Exceptional IP network troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficient in collaborating with clients and internal teams to address complex technical issues.

• Ability to learn autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Fluent in English.

• Competence in Linux/Unix network configuration and debugging.

• Experience with the installation of various Linux distributions.

• Understanding of common network security threats and best practices for mitigation.
