This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO clients or potential clients.
• Counsel customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Recognize and refer opportunities to other business units when necessary.
• Conduct outbound customer calls and proactively seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Remain informed about consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and regulatory obligations.
• Provide high-quality sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from customers and prospects.
• Investigate unique investment requirements and advise customers appropriately.
• Meet sales targets centered on relevant investment products.
• Oversee transactional results or escalate matters to the relevant internal business groups.
• Refer complex or unresolved customer issues to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation following customer interactions.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends.
• Incorporate marketing promotions and programs into customer discussions when suitable.
• Ensure confidentiality of both customer and Bank information.
• Identify and report any suspicious activity related to money laundering.
• Comply with AML, terrorist financing, FCAC, Privacy Act, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Assess issues, determine subsequent steps, and manage escalations from fellow employees.
• Utilize BMO’s Risk Management Framework to make informed, risk-aware decisions.
• Generally, 2–3 years of relevant experience is expected.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Familiarity with competitive market trends and product offerings is essential.
• Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services is important.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative is necessary.
• Some awareness of Risk Management & Compliance is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
• Good organizational capabilities are necessary.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills are important.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
