This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Grasp customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO clients or potential clients.
• Provide guidance to customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Identify and refer clients to other business divisions as necessary.
• Conduct outbound calls and actively seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Stay informed on consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and the regulatory landscape.
• Offer professional-level sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from customers and prospects.
• Delve into customer needs to provide insight on unique investment requirements.
• Meet sales targets focused on relevant investment products.
• Oversee transactional outcomes from customer interactions or direct issues to the appropriate internal business units.
• Elevate complex or unresolved customer matters to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation following customer interactions.
• Keep up to date with investment markets, practices, and trends and incorporate this knowledge into customer discussions.
• Integrate marketing promotions and initiatives into customer dialogues where suitable.
• Ensure the confidentiality of customer and bank information.
• Recognize and report suspicious activity patterns related to money laundering.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance standards, including AML/ATF, FCAC, and Privacy Act provisions.
• Accomplish complex and varied tasks within set rules and limits, including handling escalations from colleagues.
• Assess issues and determine the appropriate next steps.
• Implement BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make informed, risk-aware decisions that align with business strategy, risk appetite, policies, laws, and regulations.
• Generally, 2–3 years of pertinent experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related discipline is desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with competitive market trends and product offerings.
• Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensing as an Investment Representative.
• Some understanding of Risk Management & Compliance principles.
