This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO clients or potential clients.
• Guide customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Recognize and refer customers to other business divisions as necessary.
• Conduct outbound calls and proactively discover opportunities to enhance the customer experience with appropriate investment products.
• Stay informed about consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and the regulatory landscape.
• Provide high-quality sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from customers and prospects.
• Explore to understand customers' specific investment needs and provide tailored advice.
• Reach sales goals focused on relevant investment products.
• Oversee transactional outcomes from customer interactions or refer issues to the appropriate internal business units.
• Escalate complicated or unresolved customer issues to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation following customer engagements.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends and incorporate this into customer discussions.
• Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations when suitable.
• Ensure the confidentiality of customer and Bank information is maintained.
• Identify and report suspicious activity patterns related to money laundering.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
• Execute complex and varied tasks within established guidelines and parameters, including handling escalations from other staff.
• Analyze problems and determine appropriate next steps.
• Utilize the Risk Management Framework to make informed, risk-based decisions that align with business strategy and accepted risk appetite.
• Typically possess 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Familiarity with competitive marketplace trends and product offerings.
• Understanding of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative.
• Some knowledge of Risk Management & Compliance.
• Specialized knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good organizational skills.
• Effective collaboration and team skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to adhere to Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing reporting requirements, FCAC consumer provision requirements, and Privacy Act provisions.
• Capability to maintain the confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
