This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Offers support and service for BMO’s Investment Operations function.
• Implements investment product and service processes in line with financial and regulatory controls and operational guidelines.
• Provides trading assistance for the team during busy trading days, including Asset Mix.
• Aids team members with daily responsibilities and assists the Operations team when issues arise.
• Generates trade files and submits them to Fund SERV.
• Engages with internal business partners and external customers regarding both standard and non-standard inquiries.
• Adheres to documented policies and procedures to execute transactions and fulfill Service Level Agreements.
• Verifies and reconciles information and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Processes transactions and services accurately and promptly while complying with regulatory and risk controls.
• Provides advice and guidance to designated business groups regarding solution implementation.
• Supports strategic initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitors and tracks performance, addressing any issues that arise.
• Analyzes data and information to deliver insights and recommendations.
• Collects and formats data for regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Aids in change management processes, including execution and sustainment activities.
• Resolves standard issues and escalates non-routine matters to senior team members or the manager.
• Contributes to the ongoing improvement of business processes and procedures.
• Participates in the planning, testing, and implementation of projects and new or revised products, services, or processes.
• Collaborates on the development of new processes and systems, as well as enhancements to existing systems and processes.
• Supports tool development and the delivery of training.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory requirements and operational risks.
• Works primarily independently and fulfills additional assigned responsibilities.
• Typically possesses 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Holds a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with relevant systems and technology.
• Comprehensive understanding of the business unit’s key products, services, processes, and controls.
• Profound knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements pertinent to the business.
• Strong prioritization abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Specialized knowledge gained through education and/or business experience.
