Investment Banking Academy - Greenwood Project Scholar Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Complete a twelve-month training program in investment banking.

• Construct financial models in Excel while adhering to deadlines.

• Acquire knowledge of discounted cash flow, comparable companies, and precedent transactions valuation.

• Receive training in financial statement analysis and the fundamentals of accounting.

• Gain insights into portfolio construction and investment strategies.

• Develop a fundamental understanding of capital markets.

• Perform quantitative analysis and conduct research.

• Utilize AI tools and verify their outputs effectively.

• Present investment ideas and substantiate assumptions confidently.

• Collaborate with an industry mentor and network with professionals from partner firms.

• Complete readings, projects, forms, transcripts, and interviews in a timely manner.

• Prepare for recruiting and interviews for junior-year internships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently a freshman (Class of 2030) enrolled at an accredited four-year institution.

• A minimum GPA of 3.5.

• Submission of high school transcript.

• First semester or first quarter college transcript required.

• Second semester or second quarter transcript needed upon grade posting.

• A commitment to the program for twelve months, from the summer following freshman year through sophomore year.

• Approximately 10 hours of work per week, with increased hours around project deadlines.

• Capability to manage a full course load alongside program responsibilities.

• Genuine interest in investment banking.

• Willingness to undertake rigorous technical work.

• Relevant academic backgrounds include Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Management, General Business, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, and International Business; undeclared students are also encouraged to apply.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present investment ideas.
