Deputy Head of Finance Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Perform a thorough audit of the finance systems architecture and recognize technical liabilities.

• Identify opportunities for enhancement and modernization.

• Create a roadmap for refactoring and modernization.

• Prioritize projects based on their business impact, technical requirements, and scalability.

• Lead a team of around 33 professionals spanning Engineering, QA, and Infrastructure.

• Establish technical standards and ensure optimal team performance.

• Oversee and mentor 4 team leaders.

• Organize and prioritize a substantial technical backlog.

• Convert business needs into actionable milestones, priorities, and deliverables.

• Supervise the development and integration of financial system instances, including Budgeting, Treasury, and Payroll.

• Guarantee seamless system integration, reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Detect development and delivery bottlenecks and implement enhancements.

• Promote the adoption of automation and AI-driven solutions.

• Establish and uphold QA, development, deployment, and infrastructure processes.

• Relay progress, technical hurdles, risks, and dependencies to business stakeholders.

• Align engineering priorities with overarching business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development, engineering, or architecture.

• More than 5 years of experience managing technical teams.

• Proficiency in ERP/Finance systems: 1C is essential, along with SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

• Extensive experience in architecture, refactoring, migrations, and integrations.

• Fundamental understanding of financial accounting principles.

• Strong leadership, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex subjects.

• Proficient in English at B2 level or higher.

• Open-minded, empathetic, and collaborative, with a readiness to experiment and adopt new ideas.

• Nice to have: Experience with AI/ML applications in financial systems or business intelligence.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of the Fintech or iGaming sectors.

• Nice to have: Direct experience with 1C ERP.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with high-load SaaS or multi-tenant architecture patterns.

• Nice to have: Understanding of modern DevOps, CI/CD optimization, or infrastructure automation.
