This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Deliver analytical, operational, and administrative assistance to Equity Fund Managers and leadership within the Investment Department.
• Gather portfolio, benchmark, performance, and market data for regular reviews and reporting.
• Maintain investment, manager, and market information for effective portfolio monitoring and reporting.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on equity funds, asset managers, and sub-advised portfolios.
• Aid in performance attribution, benchmarking, and risk analysis for both current and prospective investments.
• Observe financial markets, economic trends, and equity securities pertinent to portfolio holdings.
• Assist with due diligence for both current and potential investment managers and strategies.
• Organize information requests, review documentation, and prepare summary materials.
• Engage in meetings and calls with asset management firms, compiling notes and follow-up tasks.
• Monitor portfolio performance, cash flows, and adherence to investment guidelines.
• Support investment reporting, operational tasks, and process management activities.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute reports, data, presentations, RFPs, questionnaires, factsheets, and marketing materials related to investments.
• Assist Fund Managers with portfolio adjustments and rebalancing tasks.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance on investment-related issues.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Zero to one year of experience in the investment industry; prior experience in investment data collection and analysis, presentation development, and investment communications is preferred.
• General understanding of statistics and investment data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet analysis.
• Familiarity with investment research and analytics platforms such as eVestment, FactSet, and Morningstar Direct is preferred.
• Knowledge of the investment management and mutual fund sectors.
• Applied skills in investment and economic analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with data management and reporting tools such as Python, Power BI, and SQL is preferred.
• Capability to work effectively in a team setting while managing multiple priorities.
• Progress toward obtaining the CFA designation is preferred.
