This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +2 more countries.
• Direct the comprehensive management of investigator and site payment processes for assigned clinical trials.
• Supervise the setup of payment systems, ensuring that study budgets, contracts, milestones, and payment triggers are accurately configured in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Collaborate closely with study teams to facilitate key start-up activities and ensure timely completion of payment-related milestones.
• Evaluate payment structures and data flows to guarantee precise payment triggering while identifying opportunities to mitigate delays or errors.
• Oversee vendor performance, ensuring that service delivery adheres to agreed timelines, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Track payment performance across studies, addressing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
• Address escalated payment inquiries at the site and study levels to maintain positive relationships and support study execution.
• Ensure that appropriate contracts, purchase orders, funding arrangements, and approvals are established to enable timely payments.
• Assist with audit and inspection activities pertaining to investigator payments and ensure that all documentation meets the required standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Background in clinical research, clinical operations, site payments, contracts, finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong comprehension of clinical trial operations, investigator site budgets, and payment processes.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently across global teams.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting contracts, budgets, and payment terms with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
• Experience working autonomously while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant business systems.
• Familiarity with investigator payment processes within a CRO, sponsor, or clinical research organization.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
