This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.
• Develop, enhance, track, and manage investigator grant forecasting processes based on study, country, site, and milestone/event.
• Convert protocol assumptions and operational plans into payment and cash flow forecasts.
• Reconcile forecasts with actuals in collaboration with Clinical Operations, clarify variances, and regularly update assumptions.
• Monitor and assess payment drivers to recognize forecast risks and opportunities.
• Support uniform forecasting methodologies, templates, and controls across various studies.
• Ensure alignment of forecasting outputs with accruals, PO coverage, payment schedules, and month-end closing processes.
• Develop executive-ready dashboards and reports that showcase burn rate, run-rate, and forecast sensitivities.
• Contribute to scenario planning and assess financial implications.
• Maintain documentation and data traceability for internal controls, audits, and inspection readiness.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, driving implementation alongside stakeholders.
• Assist in technology evaluations and requirements to establish a sustainable investigator grant forecasting capability.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Study Start-Up, R&D Finance, Budgeting, and Contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Life Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven ability to create forecasts that connect operational assumptions to financial outcomes.
• Proficient in Excel (scenario modeling) and comfortable managing large, multi-study datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to align cross-functional stakeholders on assumptions, risks, and updates.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple studies/priorities concurrently.
• Strong project management skills to effectively balance assignments and prioritize tasks.
• Fluent in English.
• Over 3 years of experience in clinical trial finance, forecasting, budgeting, grants/payments, or CRO financial management at the study, program, or portfolio level.
• Familiarity with clinical payment/grant systems and/or clinical finance tools (e.g., investigator payment platforms, EDC/CTMS outputs, finance ERP integrations).
• Experience collaborating with CROs on investigator grant processes and forecast updates.
• Proficient in Power BI (or similar) reporting tools.
• Understanding of investigator grant contract structures and common payment terms (start-up fees, per-visit, milestone-based, pass-through handling).
• Knowledge of accrual concepts and the monthly closing cadence in a regulated environment.
